My mother was a swimmer In high school and a coach as well. She may not have been an amazing swimmer but she has a pure love for the sport. It was her example that made me want to coach. She passed away this summer from Brain Cancer and I found this poem she wrote at the beginning of her swimming career in high school (1980).

I thought I would share it with the swim coaching community.
